The Aneba Potash Project is located in the Amazon basin, north of two (2) potash
deposits (Arari and Fazendinha) which are being developed by Petrobras SA. As illustrated
below (in green) the Aneba Potash Project is comprised of two (2) exploration leases
covering approximately 17,500 hectares and three (3) prioritary applications for
exploration licenses covering 13,800 hectares. MBAC has identified the most prospective area (area of interest
indicated below) and is currently analyzing geophysical data and information from
previously drilled oil exploration wells in order to better define the drill site.
Drilling is expected to begin early 2012.
Brazil imports approximately 90% of its annual potash consumption and the Amazon
basin is one of the least explored sites containing large potash deposits. The Amazon
area has attracted the attention of several global companies with a focus on meeting
the Brazilian market demand.
